10/22/11: Downtown Springfield, MA. This building is closed down now. I believe it was a victim of the tornado. Too bad. I think it's beautiful and should be restored. Thanks for all your comments yesterday.

10/23/11: Memorial Bridge between Springfield and West Springfield, MA I hope you are liking my photo journey of Springfield. It really can be a beautiful city.

10/26/11: Bennington College, VT. Took a trip to Bennington for a funeral on Friday (my uncle). As my cousin said, some good came out of bad. I got to meet some family members I had never met before, reconnect with some I haven't seen in a while, and I got to turn it into a photographic trip. Funny how you spend a good portion of your life somewhere and never see the beauty.

10/27/11: Buskirk Bridge, Hoosick, NY Some of you may recognize this bridge even if you have never been to it. It is one of 29 historic covered bridges in New York state. It has a William Howe truss design and served the great Northern Turnpike beginning in 1799. It is especially meaningful to me as it is close to Hoosick Falls (where I have family) and White Creek (where my grandparents lived and my uncles grew up). The most famous resident was Grandma Moses, who was friends with nearby neighbor Norman Rockwell. Here is an interesting link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grandma_Moses

3/22/12: Springfield, MA This house is located right in the path of last year's tornado. It actually seems to be faring better than the neighbors. Such a beautiful neighborhood decimated by the storm. Regan, my daughter, decided she liked this PP best. Thank you for all the kind comments on my last two images - the ones that are 7 1/2 years old from 15 year old film. This shot was taken this week from the same film. And for those of you who were wondering, this is not a b&w conversion. It was shot in b&w on 120 film with a Mamiya 645 Pro.

4/12/12: Spirit in the City While walking in New York last weekend with a friend and my daughter, I just couldn't pass by this church. I love the juxtaposition between the intricate detail of the church and the modern lines of the surrounding skyscrapers. Best viewed in the largest sizes. I haven't been on for a long time. Thank you to everyone that commented on my last submission. I wish I had more time to post more often. Life is just a bit too crazy right now.
